Plagiarism Forum Announcement

Addressing Plagiarism in a Digital Age

A co-sponsored IT/CIT Forum will be held on Wednesday, October 27 at 2:15 pm in Wheatley 6-047.

Join Vivian Zamel, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, Steve Sutherland and Wayne Rhodes of the English Department, and Ellie Kutz, IT Faculty Liaison as they address the the following questions: How does access to the internet complicate students’ use of source material? Can electronic tools such as SAFEASSIGN provide an effective response? And why do students “plagiarize,” and how might we as teachers address this concern?

  1. I would like to invite you to join our forum. I hope we can discuss and share this interesting topic about plagiarism.
